Bicycle Aurora
Our Mission

To promote the implementation of bicycle trails in Aurora according to the Aurora Bike Plan.

To study and recommend future improvements to the Aurora Bike Plan.
To lobby public and private groups to adopt and implement the Aurora Bike Plan.
To rally Aurora citizens and groups to promote the Aurora Bike Plan.
To advise Aurora City Government on ways to make bicycle trails in Aurora safer and friendlier for all citizens.
To introduce citizens to the existing and planned Aurora bicycle trail system.

Club meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM in the 4th Floor Eagle Room,  Aurora Municipal Center, 15151 E. Alameda Pkwy -- Aurora, CO 80012. All bicycle riders and enthusiasts are welcome. Call 303-699-9260 for more information. 

 2014 Ride Schedule

Saturday, September 13th - Sand Creek Fat Tire Ride - 9am

Meet George Bartling at the Aurora Central Library, 14949 E Alameda Parkway, for this traditional ride along Sand Creek on gravel trails.  Definitely not for skinny tires.  24 miles and mostly flat.

Saturday, September 20th - Colorado Freedom Memorial - 9am

Tim Ehgotz will lead his second ride of the month (Thanks Tim!) to the Colorado Freedom Memorial.  16 miles and flat.

Saturday, September 27th - REI/Confluence Park - 9am

Join Dick Shelton for a leisurely ride to REI at Confluence Park.  Bring money for refreshments at Starbuck's.  34 miles, mostly flat. 

Saturday, October 4th - Fairmount Cemetery - 9am

Tom and Carol Tobiassen will lead (and narrate) a tour of Fairmount Cemetery on our last planned ride of 2014.  Meet at Aurora History Museum, 15051 E Alameda Parkway.  15 miles and mostly flat.

Join us at Veloswap, the "World's Largest Consumer Bicycle and Sports Expo," at the National Western Complex on Saturday, October 18th.  Doors open at 9am and tickets are just $8 or $6 in advance. 

Unless noted above, meet at Treads Bicycle Outfitters, 16701 East Iliff Ave, just West of Buckley Road.  MAP Ride pace is family oriented, helmets are required, dress for the weather, and remember to bring water, sunblock, etc.    Phone: 303-699-9260
