Bicycle Aurora
Our Mission

To promote the implementation of bicycle trails in Aurora according to the Aurora Bike Plan.

To study and recommend future improvements to the Aurora Bike Plan.
To lobby public and private groups to adopt and implement the Aurora Bike Plan.
To rally Aurora citizens and groups to promote the Aurora Bike Plan.
To advise Aurora City Government on ways to make bicycle trails in Aurora safer and friendlier for all citizens.
To introduce citizens to the existing and planned Aurora bicycle trail system.



Club meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM in the 4th Floor Eagle Room,  Aurora Municipal Center, 15151 E. Alameda Pkwy -- Aurora, CO 80012. All bicycle riders and enthusiasts are welcome. Call 303-699-9260 for more information. 


 2014 Ride Schedule

Saturday, July 26th – Aurora Reservoir – 9am

Join Dick for a ride around Aurora Reservoir.  Meet at Woody Creek Bakery in Southlands, 6240 S Main St (northwest corner of Smokey Hill Road and Aurora Parkway).  16 miles with a short climb on the way back.

Saturday, August 2nd – Colorado Cares Day

Started in 1999, Colorado Cares Day is a day of service to the environment and our communities.  Most Bicycle Aurora Ride Leaders are also Trail Stewards and will be occupied with other activities.  This is a "show and go" ride day without a designated ride leader.  Meet at Treads at 9am and ride whatever route the group decides.  Have fun!

Saturday, August 9th - Jewell Wetlands - 9am

Linda will lead a ride along the newly resurfaced Toll Gate Creek trail and then following Highline Canal to Westerly Creek and a circuit of Jewell Wetlands.  19 miles, flat.

Saturday, August 16th - Sulfur Gulch - 9am

Meet Gary Pratt at Cornerstar Shopping Center, Parker and Arapahoe, just east of  Panera's, for an interesting ride south along Cherry Creek and east up Sulfur Gulch into Parker.  This route includes a modest climb - 20 miles.

Unless noted above, meet at Treads Bicycle Outfitters, 16701 East Iliff Ave, just West of Buckley Road.  MAP Ride pace is family oriented, helmets are required, dress for the weather, and remember to bring water, sunblock, etc.
